      Ever since childhood, I have been creating and crafting.   Always ready to learn new techniques and to dabble in new art media, I have played all my life.

     After giving away my work to everyone I could find and hearing for years from all manner of family and friends, "You really ought to start a business," I launched NOTT IMPORTED in August 2000.

      I used double entendre to name my business from its location on Nott Road in Canandaigua, NY in these hills of the beautiful Finger Lakes region, and I played off the idea that the art and craft I create is certainly "not imported.”

      NOTT IMPORTED has been a part time operation for me, until my retirement in 2006 from my "day job" of teaching for 33 years, I hope to expand it to full time production.
